Tibet: Living Traditions from a Forgotten Kingdom

Benefit for the Bön Children's Home, January 22 to 25, 2004, The Center for Contemporary Arts, 1050 Old Pecos Trail, Santa Fe, NM 87505. A series of programs to benefit the Bön Children's Home located in Dolanji, India. These feature teachings, rituals, and workshops by Latri Khempo Nyima Dakpa Rinpoche, a lama of the Bön tradition of Tibetan religion from eastern Tibet; talks by John V. Bellezza, American explorer and scholar of western Tibet and the ancient kingdom of Zhangzhung, legendary home of the Bön religion; talks by contemporary Tibetan artist Losang Gyatso, who draws on symbols from Zhangzhung culture in creating his artwork; and a Tibetan antique and art auction.
