LECTURE The Yellow Temple: New Light on Mongolia's Past

14 Dec 2003 at 2:30 pm, Worcester Art Museum, Worcester, MA. The Archaeological Institute of America (AIA) – Worcester Society will present a slide-illustrated lecture on the restoration efforts at Baldan Baraivan, a Tibetan Buddhist monastery located in the Khentii aimag of Mongolia. The talk will present an overview of the site within the context of the monastic tradition of Mongolia, repressed during most of the 20th century. The lecture is free and open to the public, with free parking and handicapped-accessible entry. For directions see the Museum website (http://www.worcesterart.org).
