Tibetan and Himalayan Library - THL

The University of Virginia is pleased to present an evening of Tibetan humor with four of the most famous contemporary Tibetan comedians. Thubten and Mikmar from Lhasa, Menlakyab from Amdo, and Pasang Tsering from India will perform and discuss their art. The comedians are visiting the U.S. through the offices of the Latse Contemporary Tibetan Cultural Library. This event is co-sponsored by two University of Virginia organizations: the Center for South Asian Studies and the Tibetan and Himalayan Digital Library. The event will be held Tuesday, February 24th, 2004 at 7:30 pm in the Ballroom of Newcomb Hall on the University of Virginia campus. Admission is free.
